EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE ON THE SYSTEM
The emergency maintenance service is carried out directly by the Oil Service intervention team.
The first “triage” takes place by telephone: an Oil Service expert provides all the information necessary to avoid aggravating the problem in progress, to secure the system, and to wait for the arrival of emergency maintenance vehicles without endangering machinery and employees.
Sometimes it is necessary to stop production, other times it is enough just to perform some procedures while waiting for the technicians to arrive to put the diathermic oil system in a condition to function correctly at 100%.
Small spills, mostly confined to the thermal power plant or small drips from the seals are part of this type of intervention. If the spill is copious or affects several internal parts of the production site, or worse still the environment, a specific anti-spill and eventual remediation intervention is required, as you will see below.
ENVIRONMENTAL INTERVENTION:
OIL SERVICE + GRUPPOPER
In case of accidental and copious spillage of diathermic oil, the so-called Environmental Intervention is necessary. We intervene both in case the spill affects spaces outside the thermal power plant but inside the plant (pipes, insulation, circulation pumps …); and in case the spill affects the environment (surrounding land, sewers, rain pipes …).

In any case, the customer, after the free inspection of the GruppoPer Project Manager, has the possibility to choose whether or not to use the Oil Service & GruppoPer services.
HOW THE INTERVENTION WORKS
- In case of need, the customer calls Oil Service: the Environmental Intervention machine is set in motion.
- Within 4 hours, the GruppoPer Project Manager calls the customer and provides initial advice on the emergency measures to be applied.
- Within 12-24 hours the Project Manager carries out the first inspection to assess the damage. On average, the intervention times are 12 hours.
At this point there may be two scenarios: Local Damage and Environmental Damage. Circumscribed Damage is the simplest case, since it affects the company premises in an important way without affecting the surrounding environment. We talk about Environmental Damage when diathermic oil contaminates soils, downspouts, water discharges, rivers …
In the event of Circumscribed Damage
- The drafting of the intervention project takes place within 24 hours.
- GruppoPer starts the activity within 48 working hours.
In case of Environmental Damage
Within 24h:
- the 2nd level inspection
- Activation of emergency communications to the relevant bodies and organisations.
- Identification of the works to be carried out for the M.I.S.E.
Within 48h:
- Drafting of the Intervention Project.
- Start of turnkey reclamation activities by GruppoPer.
